Mid-Iowa Cooperative is growing Grain and Feed Cooperative that recently broke ground on the building of Shell Rock Soy Processing LLC.  Mid-Iowa Cooperative has an exciting opportunity for a Grain Originator. You will be responsible with building relationships with producers and assisting them in marketing their grain.   Additionally, this role may assist producers in their brokerage and crop insurance needs. 
  
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Purchase & Originate Grain from Area Producers
• Understand & Communicate Micro/Macro Market trends to Producers
• Pursue new Grain Customers and build working relationships
• Establish marketing programs based on current market conditions
• Assist with Grain Accounting, Proof of Yields, & Grain Settlements

 
Preferred Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of Experience in the Grain Industry, Ag-Business, or Related Field.
• Series III license
