The Million Mile Club at Mid-Iowa Coop, A New Tradition

Most industries around the world rely on transportation. We must somehow get products from those who produce them, to those who consume them. Here in the midwest, and in agriculture specifically, we rely heavily on truck and trailers to move grain, feed, and fuel to and from the farms that raise the produce consumed around the world. At Mid-Iowa Coop, we are no exception to this, as it is the drivers that sit in the seats day in and day out that allow us to participate in the larger market.

Last week Mid-Iowa Coop CEO, Mike Kinley, was proud to present four of our experienced drivers with leather jackets signifying their induction into the Million Mile Club. Pictured above, from left to right: Joe Sternhagen, Jerry Rahn, Kevin Lura, and Josh Krein. Joe has been with Mid-Iowa Coop for over 40 years, starting at age 17 working around the Beaman elevator, and since then delivering feed to our area livestock producers. Jerry, Kevin, and Josh have hauled grain for Mid-Iowa for 11, 9, and 9 years respectively.

Long-term, reliable employees are sought-after in any company. We would like to thank these drivers, as well as the rest of our team, on their commitment to Mid-Iowa Cooperative and the patrons we serve. As always, if you are looking for a career driving truck, contact Brian at 641-366-3236.
